The Adams Morgan Youth Leadership Academy, affectionately known as “AMYLA” serves youth ages 14 – 21. AMYLA’s mission is to cultivate and spawn the next generation of classroom, community and workforce leaders in Washington DC.  Whether helping build job skills through internships across the city, teaching study skills and life skills, or connecting community members to youth through volunteering, AMYLA is committed to fostering an empowered, sustainable future for DC youth. 

Our goals are:

• Serve as a communal buffer and safe space for residents and volunteers new and old
• Serve as a source of support and accountability around areas of education, employment, to youth and families
• Serve as an economic empowerment incubator and Economic Development/Entrepreneurial Center.
